We are excited to announce our partnership with Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD). DPSCD has added Tyrone's Choice and A Day In The "D" With Dad to their PreK-12 classroom libraries as a resource to promote culturally responsive teaching and learning.
We are a family business that creates and distributes African-American children-centered literature to share relatable, positive, empowering, culturally responsive stories for all readers. This mother-daughter trio loves to ignite passions for reading and storytelling by visiting schools and community organizations.
We come to schools, churches, daycares, youth homes, festivals, and parties to read and do crafts with youth. We also host literacy fairs to get youth excited about reading.
We are an affordable, high-quality company. We not only write, edit, and distribute our own books, but we'll help you too.
Purchase our powerpoint "Indie Authors Blue Print to Writing, Publishing, & Mass Distribution" and you can have your book on Amazon, Ebay, and Apple Books just to name a few.

Her desire to render assistance and familiarity to people of color led her to study nursing. KimMia recognized at an early age that there are very few people of color in medicine, and she wanted her presence to be a sense of comfort and peace to all people, but especially people of color, when they seek medical treatment. KimMia's book Big Sister Blues was published in 2021 from her childhood journal, where she wrote about her experiences with her baby sister, Alicen.

As a skilled soccer player, Alicen was recognized as Michigan's #1 Goal and Point Holder during her 2023 soccer season at the historic Cass Technical High School in Detroit, Michigan. In 2024, Alicen published her second children's book, Don't Count Me Out, about her soccer journey.
We aim to write realistic culturally relevant literature because we know the importance of representation. We wants children to see real life images, relatable plots, or events, and give students of color the opportunity to connect with the real life or realistic characters in our stories.
